Dragon’s Teeth ∣ Zęby smoka

„Zęby smoka” – nazwa fortyfikacji używanej w czasie m.in. II wojny światowej jako bariera przeciwczołgowa. Tworzyły ją żelbetowe lub metalowe bryły, o kształcie ostrosłupa ściętego.
Ażurowa forma „Zębów smoka”, prezentowana jako obiekt jest pozbawiona funkcji militarnych. Złożona z linii prostych stanowi rodzaj rysunku w przestrzeni, tym razem wewnątrz, gdzie jest raczej mało spotykana. Powtórzenie formy i jej adaptacja na grunt artystyczny jest celowym zabiegiem pozwalającym mówić o formie, znaczeniu oraz kontekście miejsca (wnętrze, lub szerzej: architekturze).

”Dragon’s Teeth” – the name of a fortification used during, among others, World War II as an anti-tank barrier. It was made of reinforced concrete or metal blocks in the shape of a truncated pyramid.

The openwork form of the “Dragon’s Teeth”, presented as an object of art, is devoid of military functions. Composed of straight lines, it is a kind of drawing in space, this time indoor, where it is rather rare to see. The repetition of a form and its adaptation into an artistic context is a deliberate procedure that allows us to talk about the form, meaning and context of a place (interior, or more broadly: architecture).
